Growing up, this was by far my favorite song to sing in church at Christmastime. I don’t know if it was the upbeat nature of, the slide up the 7th (at least, that’s how I sang it) going up at the end of the verse, or that anticipation to get to the refrain….or all of it, but it brought me joy to sing it every year as a child. As an adult, it still brings me joy, because as a Christian, that’s what Christmas is all about. Telling others that Jesus, the savior of the world, is born. So, here is my favorite band, Needtobreathe, singing today’s song.
