One of the first cassettes (yes, I’m dating myself) I remember having that listening to was a compilation of Christmas songs. And one that cassette was…..Jingle Bell Rock by Bobby Helms. I remember being amazed at the song because, while I knew the song “Jingle Bells”, this “Jingle Bell Rock” thing was pretty different. Of course, outside of title, there’s not much similar between the two songs. But it’s been a favorite of mine since that time, and every time I hear it, it puts a smile on my face.
